Pricing Tests
A/B test service prices on real booking sessions and keep the winner
What pricing tests do
A pricing test shows different prices for one service to different booking sessions. For example, half of your visitors see your Signature Cut at $75 and the other half see it at $85. Each visitor always sees the same price, and the price they saw is exactly what they pay, even if you pause the test while they are mid-booking.
Find it under Pricing Tests in the sidebar (owners and admins only).
Creating a test
- Click New pricing test
- Pick the service (and optionally a single location)
- Set 2-6 price variants and how traffic splits between them (must add up to 100%)
- Optionally set a duration per variant, a holdout group, or start/end dates
- Launch immediately or save as a draft
Only one test can run per service at a time.
Holdout groups
A holdout reserves a slice of visitors who always see your regular price. They are tracked separately, so you get a clean baseline that the test never touches.
Reading results
Open Results on a running test to see, per variant: sessions, bookings, conversion rate, and revenue per session. The "vs control" column runs a statistical significance check against your first variant. Wait for at least 50 bookings per variant before trusting the numbers; the page warns you when the sample is too small.
Concluding
When you conclude a test you can pick a winner and make its price the new service price (for location-scoped tests, the location's price). Concluding with a small sample requires an extra confirmation.
Where prices apply
Variant prices show up in the booking widget and the mobile app, and they lock into the booking and the online payment amount. Walk-ins, console bookings, and packages always use your regular prices.
