Managing Services
Create services, categories, per-location pricing, and packages
Services Page
Use Services to:
- Create and edit services
- Organize categories
- Set duration and pricing
- Archive services without deleting history
The page supports search, category filters, and a location switcher.
Per-location pricing and availability
Every service has a base price and duration that apply everywhere by default. If you run more than one location, you can override the price, the duration, or whether the service is offered at all, per location. A service you never touch stays available at every location at its base price, so single-location salons never see any of this.
There are two places to set overrides.
From the services list (location switcher)
The switcher at the top of the page is a lens onto one location. Pick a location and the list shows that location's effective price and duration for each service. Edit a price or duration inline and it saves as an override for that location only. Services that have any per-location overrides show a "N locations customized" badge, so you can see at a glance which ones differ from base.
From the service editor (Locations section)
Open a service and scroll to the Locations section (it only appears when you have two or more locations). For each location you get:
- An availability toggle to turn the service on or off at that location
- An optional price override and duration override
- A Reset to base action that clears the override and falls back to the base values
Editing the base price
When you change the base price, you set it at every location that does not have its own override. If some locations have custom prices, you'll see a short cascade warning telling you how many locations will change and how many are kept on their custom prices. The custom ones stay as they are.
Add-ons
Add-ons follow the same rules as their parent service. You don't configure separate per-location pricing for add-ons; they inherit the location behavior of the service they attach to.
Importing from your website
If you import your services from a website during setup, the importer captures per-location pricing where it can find it, so you don't have to re-enter it by hand.
Packages
Use Packages to bundle services. Packages get the same per-location treatment as services, but for price only. A package's duration is derived from the services it includes, so there's no separate duration override. Set a per-location package price from the location switcher or the package editor's Locations section, the same way you do for a service.
Maintenance Rules
- Keep category names clear and client-facing
- Review durations against real service time
- Archive, do not delete, for discontinued offers
- If you run multiple locations, check the location switcher after a price change so you know which locations actually moved
